Liketso Tsotetsi is a Senior Environmental Specialist and Project Manager with extensive experience in environmental management, regulatory compliance, and project coordination across South Africa.

She holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of the Free State (2009), a Master of Science in Environmental Management (Air Pollution and Renewable Energy) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria (2016), and a Bachelor of Technology in Project Management from the Central University of Technology, Free State (2018).

Ms Tsotetsi is professionally registered with SACNASP and EAPASA, and has over 7 years of experience working as an environmental specialist in the fields of air emissions licensing and monitoring, atmospheric impact assessment studies, dispersion modelling, water use licensing applications, basic assessments, environmental impact assessments, waste management plans, project management, environmental management systems, environmental legal compliance, and environmental auditing.

In 2014, she was awarded a Pan African University Scholarship, a flagship programme of the African Union, and was the only candidate selected from Southern Africa. Her academic and professional background is supported by strong expertise in strategic management, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and project resource management.

She also has hands-on experience in waste management, with a focus on waste recycling initiatives, overseeing small-scale waste pickers, managing buy-back centres, and facilitating coordination between waste pickers and recycling facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. She has further contributed to the development of quality control tools for effective waste inventory recording and management.
